How are you stewarding your season?
There have been moments where I have mismanaged seasons and I deeply regret that.
God is a time of season, but the bible still says that there are seed time and harvest time. (Genesis 8:22)
So for us, me included, not to mismanage our seasons, let us learn what not to do.
Ways you can mismanage your season:
Laziness (especially spiritual laziness)
Are you reading and meditating on the word of God?
Are you reflecting on how you can apply the word of God to your life?
Timidity
Has there been a time when you had a wonderful idea, but could not speak up and share due to the timidity or fear of judgment. If so, that needs to stop.
God is a creative God and there for that means you are a creative person, because we are all born creators. We especially can create with our words. (Proverbs 18:21)
Walking Alone
No man is an island. You cannot do it alone. One thing I’ve noticed about purpose is if your purpose doesn’t impact others positively, you’ve called yourself. Everything God has done affects his sons and daughters here on earth. You are called to be a blessing. Every gift in you is not only for you but for the world.
Wouldn’t the world be such a beautiful place if we were all using our gifts wisely to serve others?
Disobedience
This can truly redirect your steps. Imagine you're following GPS directions and the path is clearly listed, but you choose to take a shortcut, one you sincerely believe can help, but that shortcut ends up being detrimental to your growth.
Lack of Faith
Faith is not seen. It is proclaimed. There’s a song that comes to mind. "Lord I’m just going to trust you with all of my heart."
Do you really trust God?
I’ve found out that sometimes how we manage our earthly relationships reflects in our spiritual relationship with God and the Holy Spirit.
The lack of trust you have in others bleeds over into your lack of trust in God. But we have to remember that God is not a man that he should ever lie. His words truly are yes and Amen. Amen meaning he will do it again.
He’s a promise keeper. Let’s not forget that. We need to change our perspective. Change your lens. You may have been viewing God through human eyes, and that can be detrimental to your future.
In this new season of your life, I challenge you to go get an eye exam or a heart posture check. How are you viewing God and if you find yourself with dirty glasses, ask God for help to clean them, to restore your faith. Maybe a recommitment is needed?
Your vision needs to be clearer and we cannot look at it through the same lens, mindset, or perspective.
Let’s do better in regards to managing our seasons, visions, and goals.
This serves as a reminder to myself as well.
